I'm figuring out how to use blogger. It seems pretty easy... I may as well post a photo! This one is the image I took the title pic from. This cow was seriously trying to lick the power panel.
My name is Joseph Cowlishaw and I am young husband and soon to be father who enjoys the wilderness and exploring (mainly with my wife and brother), Hiking, camping, and geo-caching, and anything else outdoors. Photography is a fun pass- time that continues to grow into a-lot-of-time; Macro Photography really interests me as well as pictures of cows...possibly traced back to my own last name. My vision of photography and this blog is to capture the moment and feeling and the way I see the world. Most of my interest in photography stemmed primarily from my older brother Nathan Cowlishaw. (Nathan's images can be viewed at: www.talkingtree.org/photoblog). The desert of the southwest is my idea of beauty, not desolation, because so much peace comes from knowing that there are still places that stillness can be found. Whistling wind and twitching sagebrush is included in the silence of the desert along with the faint sounds of cows mooing and mockingbirds singing, and ravens scavenging.
